Northumberland House

Northumberland House offers en-suite rooms for both undergraduates and postgraduates at LSE. It’s self-catered and has it’s own student social committee that organises events for fellow hall residents that includes excursions around London to movie nights. Northumberland House is located on Northumberland Avenue which is between Trafalgar Square and the River Thames, allowing its residents to make the most of London’s most central facilities. The River Thames is a two-minute walk away and London’s ‘Theatreland’, Covent Garden, Regent Street and Oxford Street are also within walking distance. Local tube and railway stations include Charing Cross and Embankment.

This makes this student an excellent place to stay. If you are in need of basic provisions you have number of alternatives to stock up on your groceries. If you are looking for somewhere to eat out you will have an amazing choice, takeaways, cafes, burger joints or a restaurant. You will never be lost for inspiration to give you the fuel to study.

Where to apply

Northumberland House is situated just off Trafalgar Square, a short step away from the Strand, the National Gallery, the West End, Covent Garden and Piccadilly Circus. With Covent Garden just a brisk walk away you will never be short on entertainment. Either from watching the market stall holders shouting their banter and sales pitches to the passing public. Or to watching the street performers there is never a dull moment.
